Fish Report

Washington Lowland Lake Opener

Saturday, April 27th, 2019 is the beginning of trout season here in Washington. Area lakes have been stocked, and with the warmer spring weather, the fish are active. Stop in the shop for bait, tackle, and licenses.

Lake Stevens Kokanee

Kokanee fishing is in full swing with the fish plying the upper 15 feet of water at daybreak, and deeper later in the day. We are seeing more anglers with ten fish limits as the water has warmed considerably. The Elgin God’s Tooth lure in a variety of colors is the ticket to consistently hooking fish. A new net helps too!

Puget Sound

Lingcod opens locally May 1st. We suggest live bait Flounders or a lead head jig with plastic tipped with a morsel of squid.

Halibut opens May 2nd, 4th, 9th, and 11th. An excellent bait is Black Label herring.

Shrimp opens May 11th.  Soak your shrimp pellets in the Procure Shrimp scent, and you also want to add a can of mackerel or cat food to your bait mix for best results.
